Those who have not, please fill out your information here and leave an X when completed

With finals and milestones coming up, clinics may be limited in the next two weeks. Please email Sherri if you can or cannot come.

If you know anybody that is in their offseason, fairly athletic, or interested at all, please direct them to this sport. We can always use new faces, looking at the current population. 🙁

Practice – You can never practice too much. Even just a little bit every day will help tremendously.

See you next week maybe probably not

Atlanta Flying Disc Club

The AFDC will be hosting a tournament on December 19 from 10-2pm. Teams will be made there so that they are balanced, considering the variety of levels of experience. Email george96@gmail.com for more information about the tournament, organization, or financial scholarships.

AFDC is a well-known organization in the Atlanta Ultimate community, and their leagues are very helpful to new players. They offer a great learning experience and simply more play time.

Hope to see you there!

Introducing Coach “T” (Ultimate)

Written by Denise Koo on . Posted in Ultimate

Note from Coach “T”:

Druid Hills High School Ultimate Players!

Let me introduce myself! My name is David Turrentine, otherwise known as “T”, and I have been playing Ultimate since 1982. I played on Atlanta’s very own “Chain Lightning,” which has won the U.S Open Championship and was one of 4 Men’s teams to represent the USA in the World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic.

I have coached the Druid Hills High School team for several years as well as the middle school, but the last 2 years due to schedule conflicts I have just been coaching Druid Hills Middle Disc Devils. I am looking forward to coaching the high school team again.

In this program I am willing to go as far as we can go with the participants and their interest!

Ultimate is an exciting, non-contact team sport, played by thousands the world over. It mixes the best features of sports such as Soccer, Basketball, and American Football into an elegantly simple yet fascinating and demanding game. To compete at the top level, Ultimate players require an unmatched degree of speed, stamina, and agility.

The best part is that it’s played with a “Frisbee”!
